Latest Updates from Our Project:

On our way to Midnight!
about 4 years ago – Sat, Mar 28, 2020 at 10:33:22 PM

Just like on the Midnight Clock that determines your fate, there are 12 hours remaining in this campaign.

Each hour that passes will bring us more power and understanding of this nightmare, but will also make us more removed from the foundation of our own reality. What happens with the final hour chimes?

We just hit 25k, and now Beyond the Veil: A Guide to Dread Beings will be added to the book!

We are only $5,000 away from the single most requested Stretch Goal in this campaign. Midnight in Appalachia is within the reach of our terrible claws. We have 12 hours to get there.

Final 48 hours, and another Lucas Ryan original!

The Twilight Veil is growing weak. I can feel the terrible claws of the Beyonders now. It's almost over.

There are less than 48 hours left in the campaign, and Midnight in Appalachia is within your grasp! This is our final huge push before we wrap this campaign up and start production in earnest! Help us reach the remaining goals by sharing the campaign with your friends and family.

You can also join as at Virtual Horror Con, an entirely online Horror Tabletop RPG convention put on by the folks over at Gehenna Gaming. The convention will be April 4th and 5th. We'll be running several online sessions of The Midnight World, and we'll be hosting a panel about using Tabletop RPGs as therapy. We'd love to have you!

As a thank you for all of the support you've given, we're going to share with you the very first piece of art we commissioned from Lucas. Before we were even sure The Midnight World would become, we wanted to see if Lucas's art style could work for our needs. By his own admission, he isn't really a horror artist. We gave him kind of vague parameters, and paid for the art totally out of pocket by way of an "audition." We figured, worst case scenario, we'd end up with a neat piece of art.

What we got with this absolute beautiful madness.

I personally specifically love the representation in this picture. These people look like the real people you'd see walking the streets in my city.

Also, yes. They are really fighting that cockatrice by running and firing backwards while looking in a mirror. Because of course they are.

Because, according to legend, only weasels are immune to the glare of a Cockatrice

Thanks again, Touched friends!

Fourth stretch goal reached as we head into the final 72 hours

JASON ANDREW: YOU HAVE BEEN SUMMONED

Thanks to the incredible support The Midnight World has received during this campaign, we have unlocked our 4th stretch goal! Now the book will have another story written by a respected  industry veteran!

As we head into the final 72 hours of the campaign, we have 3 last stretch goals to pry from the grasp of the multiverse.

At $25,000, we will add "Beyond the Veil: A Guide to Dread Beings." Originally, we had planned this small supplement as an add on that could be purchased separately from the core book. However, if we can fund this goal before the end of the campaign, we will add Beyond the Veil as a section in the core book itself! The small section will provide an in-depth examination of the creatures, how they came to be, and how you can quickly and easily design one for your own story.

Once we've hit $30,000, we begin work on the highly requested Midnight in Appalachia. This 100-125 page supplement will be complete with new art, dizzying new powers for characters in your game to discover, and a horrifying Dread Being based on legends from across the area. It will also feature several key points of interest from around the Smoky Mountain region, along with ideas on how to incorporate these places into your story. Finally, it will introduce a short campaign module to get your characters started.

At $40,000 we add a second campaign setting, Midnight in the Rust Belt. Like the previous guide book, this supplement will be 100-125 pages of new art, new powers, and another new Dread Being that has its hooks in the dying steel towns of middle America. You'll see familiar places re-imagined as epicenters of Dread activity, and you'll have another campaign module to run for your table!

With all the uncertainty in the world right now, we are absolutely floored that you guys have been able to support us like you have. It means the absolute world to us. We can't wait to get this product into your hands. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

Now let's finish strong!
